Slapback Flathead and the Switchblade Boys take on the tangled, twitchy genius of Franz Kafka and do the unthinkable: they make him boogie. Trade the existential dread for a boogie-woogie backbeat, the bureaucratic nightmares for a twangy guitar break, and the crushing absurdity of the human condition for something you can actually dance to. Gregor Samsa never sounded so danceable. Josef K. never had this much rhythm. And "The Castle" never twisted this hard. Equal parts literary homage and hillbilly hootenanny, this is rockabilly for readers, boogie for bookworms, and the record Kafka would've hated (which, honestly, feels about right).
